Le Mas de Roussa is an ancient silk farm full of charm and character, set just above the beautiful river Ceze, in the scenic wilderness of Cevennes National Park. The traditional stone mas hides fully self contained holiday apartments, which have been tastefully decorated to reflect its character, whilst providing all modern comforts. Our guests can enjoy 10 hectares of beautiful meadows and woodlands buzzing with wildlife, a private pebbly riverside beach and a 10 meter shared, heated swimming pool. Whilst peaceful and tranquil, Le Mas de Roussa is only a couple of kilometers away from the medieval market town of Saint Ambroix, with its bustling food market, cafes and boulongeries. It's the perfect base to explore the region, close to the rugged wilderness of Cevennes valleys, breath-taking gorges and rivers of Ardeche and traditional, picturesque towns and villages like Luzanne, Uzes and Le Vanes. Guests arriving at Le Mas de Roussa will be able to lose themselves in the serenity of the surrounding nature, walking the meandering paths through the meadows, swimming in the calm waters of the river Ceze and exploring the woodlands. It is a place to find peace, gather thoughts and recharge batteries.

Le Mas de Roussa is owned, run and much loved by Anna & Darren, their two little boys, Hugo the dog and Charlie the cat, who arrived here in July 2021, full of plans, hopes and anticipation, ready to begin their French adventure. Anna & Darren have previously run a successful bed & breakfast in the Yorkshire Dales in England, but a search for adventure and wonders of wildlife and nature brought them to Le Mas de Roussa, where they instantly fell in love with it's magic and charm.

Le Mas de Roussa is surrounded by 10 hectars of private land. Our aim is to create a haven for wildlife, where nature is protected and allowed to thrive. We have registered the land with ASPAS ( Association Protection des Animaux Sauvages ) and we leave most of the woodland and meadows to grow wild to support the ecosystem and native animal and bird species.
