The historic stone house sits embedded in our property, surrounded by our animals and meadows stretching out under the open Normandy sky. The gîte provides a private, comfortable base to completely disconnect and enjoy the calm of rural life.

Domaine du Silence is a 7-hectare pesticide-free property managed in complete respect for nature. Large areas of our pastures remain untouched as natural habitats for wildlife, and former garden lawns have been transformed into wildflower meadows to support biodiversity. Horse manure is given to local residents for their organic vegetable gardens. We maintain strict waste separation and active composting on-site. The guesthouse features a wood-burning stove. Roof insulation will be carried out this winter, while the remaining energy renovations—such as window replacements and the gradual transition of electric heaters to a low-carbon heating solution—will follow step-by-step over the coming years.

Children are welcome, but the house is neither equipped nor child-proofed. Animals must not be fed under any circumstances. We cherish peace, quiet, and a deep connection to nature and animals. We treat nature with respect, and we expect our guests to do the same. Guests are strictly prohibited from entering the stables, pastures, and surrounding areas without prior agreement. Smoking is banned, and charging electric vehicles is not permitted. Up to two dogs can be brought along if registered during booking, and they must be kept on a leash at all times while on the property. Three dogs live in the main house, alongside five horses, chickens, ducks, goats, and Jerry the farm cat. The property must be left in the same clean condition as found upon arrival, or a fifty-euro cleaning fee will apply. Waste must be separated according to the instructions provided inside the house.
